The average sale price for detached single-family luxury homes on the Near North Side of Chicago is about $2.4 million, with an average market time of 260+ days. The majority of detached homes sold in this section of Chicago are priced in the one to four million dollar range. Attached luxury properties (condos, penthouses, lofts and townhomes) in this part of town have an average sale price of around $1.3 million, with an average market time of 190+ days. Roughly 2,000 luxury properties were sold so far this year in the Near North Side, which includes the neighborhoods of Gold Coast, River North, Old Town, Near North and Streeterville.

The average sale price for detached single-family luxury homes in Lincoln Park, located two miles north of downtown, is about $1.6 million with an average market time of 160 days. The majority of detached homes sold in this section of Chicago are priced between one and three million dollars. Attached luxury properties in this part of the city have an average sale price of around $900,000 with an average market time of 100 days. The number of luxury property sales in Lincoln Park so far this year is around 1,100.

There aren’t any detached homes in the Loop (because the neighborhood is strictly skyscrapers and high-rises), but its luxury condo and loft market is full of sought-after living options. The average sale price for attached properties in the Chicago Loop is $1.1 million with an average market time of 100 days. So far this year, about 450 properties have sold in the downtown Loop.
